A FAIRY. The work of Russian designer Elena Okutova is well known to jewellery lovers in Russia for its uniqueness, cultural identity, and attention to detail. The fairytale aura of her creations fits surprisingly easily into the modern world. For me, her jewellery is like whimsical paintings, joyful sketches inspired by nature, architecture and Russian Ballet. In her work, Elena draws inspiration from medieval ornaments, Renaissance jewellery, and Japanese art from the Edo period. Elena's work is characterised by the use of hot enamel in combination with coloured stones and the detailed elaboration on the reverse of all jewellery. Each item has its own colour scheme which makes pieces easy to mix and match and gives the owner the freedom of creative expression. This versatility and uniqueness has been noticed beyond Russia and Elena’s work is in the collections of customers around the world. French actress Eva Green is a big fan of Elena’s talent. We are delighted to introduce Elena’s talent to a broader international audience at PAD Paris for the first time currently at PAD online and at PAD Paris in April 2021, and at our online Trunkshow here.
