BETWEEN MYTH AND MATTER
Louisa Westwood, founder of Louisa Westwood Jewellery, is one of the more exciting new names in high jewellery. A London-based goldsmith and sculptor, she creates expressive pieces which need no explanation.
Louisa left a career as an attorney three years ago, teaching herself gold and stone through bespoke commissions before finding a voice entirely her own. The work is bold in form, rich in color, and generous in scale. Each piece reading less like an accessory than a fragment of myth or memory made metal. Her references range from ancient paintings and classical mythology to Persian mosques, Eastern temple rooftops and even the Academy Award winning film Spirited Away. Every piece is designed and handmade by Louisa in her London workshop, without computer-aided design, using traditional goldsmithing techniques and unusual, often custom-cut colored gemstones. She has exhibited across Europe, Monaco, and Asia. In October, Louisa debuts at Second Petale Gallery at PAD London 2026.
