A 15.86 ct tanzanite, violet-blue with flashes of red depending on the angle, set against 282 sapphires spread across four shades of blue and edged with diamonds. There's no plain band — the shank is carved from a single block of gold, twisted rather than soldered.

Each sapphire was placed by hand rather than following a fixed pattern, so the surface reads more like scattered light than a repeated design. Named for Galene, the sea nymph of legend who calms the waters.
